Sabrina Drago

Ex-Officio Member and STA Executive Director

Sabrina Drago is the Executive Director of the Sacramento Transportation Authority (STA). Prior to joining the Authority, Sabrina spent 16 years in the private sector as an engineering consultant. Her experience ranges from the design of small pedestrian bridges to serving in leadership roles on regionally significant transportation projects, including the Placer-Sacramento Action Plan, US50 I-5 to Watt Avenue Design Build and the Caltrans Climate Change Vulnerability Assessments and Adaptation Reports. She is driven to improve all aspects of transportation and believes that that a functioning society is dependent on a diverse, well-managed transportation system.

Sabrina is experienced working on several local transportation tax measures and is passionate to create a financially-solvent and robust program at the STA. She serves on multiple boards and strives to work closely in her local community to make a lasting impact. Sabrina has a Masters of Business Administration from the WP Carey School of Business at Arizona State University, a Masters of Science, Civil Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelors of Science, Civil Engineering from Cal Poly Pomona. She is a registered civil engineer in California and Arizona. In 2020, Sabrina was recognized as an Engineering News Record Top Professional Under 40 in California.
