The Independent Taxpayer Oversight Committee (ITOC) has a voting member vacancy. The ITOC is charged with ensuring all Measure A funds are spent in accordance with the provisions of the voter approved Ordinance and Expenditure Plan. It accomplishes this through regular public meetings and by supervising annual financial and periodic performance audits conducted by an independent audit firm.
This position is voluntary. The ITOC meets about 7-8 times annually, currently via Zoom, but historically in-person at the Sacramento County Administration Building. The meetings are held on the third Thursday of the month, begin at 4:00 pm and last 1-1.5 hours.
The ideal candidate is someone who “is a current or retired manager of major public and/or privately financed development or construction projects, who by training and experience would understand the complexity, costs and implementation issues involved in building large scale infrastructure improvements.”
